BOOK OF RULES FOR THE 16th INTERBIFEP
ORGANIZER
The International Biennial Festival of Portrait INTERBIFEP is organized by the International
Portrait Gallery Tuzla.
AIM
INTERBIFEP is an international festival of portrait presenting creations in the field of drawings, graphics, photography and video art portrait, involving all kinds of individual expressions and various stylistic trends in contemporary arts.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION
Each artist can be represented with up to five works maximum and minimum three, created within the last two years (authors presenting four or five works agree that one of their works they choose is gifted to the Organizer for its international collection of portraits). The size of works must not exceed
100 x 80 cm and authors applying to participate with video art portrait should send their work that does not last for more than 5 minutes. Artists must not remove their works during the exhibition without a permission of the Organizer.
OPENING AND CLOSING DATES OF THE EXHIBITION
The INTERBIFEP opens on 2nd October and lasts until 2nd November 2015.
PUBLICATION OF THE COMPETITION AND SELECTION PROCESS
The INTERBIFEP is an opened competition.
All the necessary documents to register will be available on the website of the Gallery. Artists who register should email interbifep@gmail.com photographes of their works in jpg format (up to
2MB) or their videos uploaded through Youtube (www.youtube.com) or Vimeo (www.vimeo.com) with a link delivered in the application. Authors should write a price for their works in euros in gross amount (except the one gifted to Organizer).
All artists applying for participation should email necessary data until 25th April 2015. These works that authors apply with for participation must be the same as those that will be sent to the exhibition if they pass the selection committee.
On 20th May 2015 Selector of the festival will publish the list of the artists who will be invited to send their works of art by registered mail, which is explained in the following paragraph. The Organizer reserves the right to invite a certain number of artists who are not subjected to selection.
SENDING AND RETURNING WORKS
Drawings, graphics and photographs should be unframed and without passe-partout, wrapped in inflexible roll and sent by registered mail. Authors participating with photographs should send their works in 300 dpi resolution. After the exhibition, the Organizer will return the works to the authors in the same way. On receiving the works, the Organizer prepares a report about their condition and informs the authors. The works are returned to the artists within 45 days after the closing of the exhibition.
DEADLINE FOR SENDING WORKS
The works and application form filled in with the information necessary to the Organizer for his catalogue should be sent as a registered mail and not later than 30th July 2015 to the following address: Međunarodna galerija portreta Tuzla, 2. tuzlanske brigade 13, 75000 Tuzla, Bosna i Hercegovina.
The Gallery cannot accept works delivered via DHL, Fedex or any other courier services.

Diploma “Ismet Mujezinović” – award Diploma “James H. Pinto” – award Public award for portrait
Prizes are awarded by an international jury and promulgation of the award-winning artists will be published on 2nd November 2015 during the closing ceremony. Names of award winning artists will also appear on the Gallery website.
The awards are paid in EURO and should be collected within one year. Award-winning foreign artists have the possibility to withdraw this amount through an authorised person or embassy of their country in Bosnia & Herzegovina. The Organizer reserves the right (within his financial possibilities) to purchase other works as well.
INSURANCE
The Organizer insures all the works of art through shipping agency in Tuzla from receiving the works until returning them to the authors.
DOCUMENTS
The Organizer designs and publishes an exhibition catalogue in Bosnian, English and French which will include the results of the competition. The Organizer uses the biographical data for his catalogue from the Application Form sent by the authors. The catalogue will be available to download in PDF format on the Gallery website. The Organizer reserves the right of reproduction of the works for the catalogue, documentation and other ways of publicity for the INTERBIFEP.
