The Philharmonic Society of Arlington proudly sponsors the Young Artist Competition for instrumental and vocal musicians under 30 years of age. This annual competition has been held since 1965. Our purposes are to identify, encourage, and provide exposure to promising young musicians, to grant them an audition experience, and to honor the top winners in each category with an opportunity to perform with our orchestra and/or chorale.
Our Young Artist Competition consists of two separate segments:

3rd WPTA Singapore International Piano Competition is organized in the frameworks of World Piano Teacher Association (WPTA)
The special prizes this year are prepared in collaboration with the North Competition (Sweden), Chamber Music Society (Singapore), Piano Island Festival, and Piano Concert Festival (Bulgaria). The winners of the competition will also receive an invitation to perform at the Gala Concert in Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in Singapore.

Applications are open for the seventh RNCM James Mottram International Piano Competition (RNCM JMIPC), held at the Royal Northern College of Music between Monday 29 November – Sunday 5 December.
This major biennial event offers an all-round learning experience for young pianists under 30 worldwide, with a first-place prize of £10,000. Travel bursaries are available to shortlisted participants who live outside of Europe.
For 2021, finalists will be accompanied by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic
