Theme and Selection:
“Drawing 2018” – Competition curators are looking for drawings of any subject that are created traditionally, classically, or experimentally. Drawings present original art and the myriad languages of humankind — universal communication conduits. A drawing can be formal and refined, expressive and energetic, limitless and timeless; it can capture our thoughts with doodling, marks, lines, or shaded areas expressing our external world and our individual perceptions. It is a record of humanity and our valuable connections to each other. The drawings submitted may be expressed in terms of representational, expressionistic, surrealistic, or abstraction genres.
This competition helps support the free drawing and painting lessons website “DrawingAndPaintingLessons.
