25 Kasım – 10 Aralık 2014
Açılış: 25 Kasım 2014

Gözün gördüğü, sınır çizgisinin berisi, gerisi, diğer bir deyişle çevresidir. Göz çizginin çevresinde dolanır. Gördüğünü düşündüğü, bu hareketinin içeriğidir. Göz farkında olmadan olaylar yaratır, yanyanalıkları inşa eder. Çizginin tam üzerine gelemeden, hareketinin yönünü değiştirir. Çizgide bir durma hissiyle, çizgiyle ilişkide bitme, son, ölüm, kapanma hissi, gözün hareketini

Four Points Contemporary  honors the merit and significance of a life dedicated to serious artistic exploration and growth. We believe that the artist’s ideas, energy and creative drive cannot bear fruit without periods of time devoted to experimentation, education, and personal reflection. We also acknowledge that artists need opportunities to explore at various stages of their artistic careers.

Schwind Foundation | Jean Schwind Retrospective, S.M.A.K., (13.09.2014 – 11.01.2015)

Jean Schwind (1935-1985) was the most notorious and enigmatic figure in Belgian art in the 1970s. After studying French literature and working as a research assistant at Ghent University, at the end of the 1960s he found his way into the art scene. In 1970 he showed large format erotic drawings at the Fitzroy Gallery in Brussels, and the following year exhibited the Schwind Collection, a series of remakes by the nouveaux réalistes. The confusion was only increased by the fact that hardly anyone

In 2012 the S.M.A.K. received a generous bequest from the estate of the Brussels collector Henri Chotteau (1947-2012). He had already donated works by this artist to the S.M.A.K. in 2004 and in the context of the solo exhibition in 2007. The museum now possesses 24 works by Morellet from Choteau’s collection, making it one of the
